Millstone 22 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Special #24 700ml

Immediately upon pouring it is clear, this is a dark, rich whiskey. The whiskey has the typical notes you would expect from a whiskey that has matured in an old Oloroso sherry barrel for 22 years. Despite the maturation on sherry barrels, the first impression of the whiskey is rather fresh as sweet, but if you give it a while, the whisky shows its true balanced and complex character. The unique qualities of this whiskey come from the use of a crystal clear wort that ferments cool and slowly before being quietly distilled with an early cut point at the end of the middle run. After distillation, this whisky has had its full maturation in Oloroso sherry barrels. The maturation on these barrels gives the whiskey its beautiful color and enhances the elegant rich sweet notes and depth.
