TASTING NOTES
At the tasting, Domaine de Baronarques 2016 presents a beautiful deep shimmering color with garnet reflections. Intensely scented and freshness, the nose embellishes with fresh fruit while aeration highlights gourmet spicy and chocolate notes. Full of freshness, the attack on the palate reveals the structure of the vintage with ample and generous material with tannins of great finesse. The mid-palate retains a great aromatic sparkle, with hints of black fruit and liquorice. With harmony, the persistence of the finish leaves a pleasant aromatic sensation. A very beautiful red wine from Languedoc signed Baron Philippe de Rothschild in a great vintage.
DESCRIPTION
Produced from very large terroirs of the Limoux appellation, Domaine de Baronarques 2016 bears witness to the tradition of Bordeaux blends combining Merlot (54%), Cabernet Franc (22%), Cabernet Sauvignon (4%) and Malbec (3%).) plus Syrah (Shiraz) (17%) testifying to the Mediterranean identity of the vintage.
Domaine de Baronarques 2016 is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (25% new barrels and 75% barrels aged 1 to 3 years).
