A stunning 36 year old Speyside with a rich and full bodied style showing ripe tropical fruit such as bananas, and honeysuckle with roasted pumpkin seed, and a touch of fruit cake on the nose. The palate is quite heavy and spicy with a bit of heat followed by a creamy buttery touch, quince, jelly, maple syrup and baked pastry. The finish is long with dried dates, raisins and an uplifting mixed fruit-like freshness. Powerful, yet very elegant.
