Gran Appasso Collezione is made from Primitivo grapes from Puglia. The grapes are hand-harvested and have undergone long fermentation, where they are macerated at a controlled temperature. They are then stored in steel tanks and on different types of wooden barrels.
Gran Appasso Collezione has an intense and deep ruby red color. The fragrance presents wild berries, plum jam, currant flowers, dried violets and spices on a base of graphite and cocoa powder. In the mouth, the wine is smooth, full-bodied, fruity, spicy, well-balanced and incredibly persistent.
The wine should be enjoyed between 16 and 18°C and is suitable for appetizers with meat sauce, polenta, grilled meat, stews and medium-aged cheeses.
