Location

Wine type
The wine is a dry, full-bodied red wine with savory notes. It has aromas of cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, violet, licorice, cedar, dried plum, and rose.
Food pairings
The wine pairs well with grilled steak, roast beef, rack of lamb, lamb shank, osso bucco, and sharp cheddar.
Serving temperature
The wine is best served at a temperature of 13–15°C.
Aging potential
The wine has an aging potential of 3–4 years.
Name
The vineyard is named after a Canadian farmer who fell in love with the land where the château was built. The farmer spent time in Canada and brought the name back to France.
Builder
The château was built in the 18th century by Victor Louis, who also built the Grand Théâtre in Bordeaux in 1780.
