Expert tasting note: "Medium to deep purple-red color is not quite opaque. The aromas are restrained & earthy. The palate has good, fresh, juicy acidity. Alcohol is balanced & the mid-palate has quite a lean mineral nature as the fine tannins start off chalky but open to rich blackcurrant & cassis flavors. Alcohol is balanced & the acidity is fresh.
