Intense red color. Complex nose with notes of nuts, quince, cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate, good structure and volume as well as spicy notes, firm tannins and a long finish.

Critic tasting note: (2019 vintage) "Los Chacayes tends to deliver wines with tremendous tannic potency, and its rocky soils and lower fertility have a lot to do with that. And obviously, the effect is multiplied when it comes to a variety with pronounced tannic genes, such as petit verdot, a grape that is usually used in blends, although in Mendoza it often stands as a varietal. This is a wine with herbal and balsamic notes, and of course, with those brutal tannins made for lamb tartare.
