Critic tasting note: (2020 vintage) "For this Gran Terroir, winemaker Juan Pablo Michelini selects chardonnay vines from vineyards with sandy and calcareous soils in Gualtallary, toward the northern end of the Uco Valley, and more than 1,300 meters up in an area known as "Gualtallary Albo." The wine begins its fermentation in cement eggs and ends it in 500-liter barrels, where it also aged for about 10 months. The wine has the imprint of the place—the saline notes and the firm acidity—but the ripeness of the fruit flavors and the toasted touches from the oak are also added here and lend complexity.
