Matured for 42 years in a bespoke refill American hogshead, this addition to the Gordon & MacPhail ‘Recollection, Series 3’ sits at 50.9% abv, proving age is no guarantee of lessened power.

A spirit described as ‘dry and fruity’ from a distillery that has since been demolished, this one-of-a-kind liquid brings back notes of a bygone age, with apricot jam intertwining with aged leather and ginger spice.

Colour Dark Gold

Aroma Rich citrus aromas complement red apple and butterscotch.  Apricot jam intertwines with fragrant walnut, giving way to subtle aged leather.

Taste Sweet tangerine zest combines with desiccated coconut and soft ginger spice.  Demerara sugar comes to the fore leading to mature oak. 

Finish A medium bodied, dry finish with brazil nut.
